Yes No I have been on Nutrisystem for 12 days, and have lost 10 pounds. All I have done is followed the diet religously. The taste is good enough for me (dessert cookie, breakfsat scones)especially considering the results!
Hi Peggy – I think you should be fine using your own protein shake. Just to be safe you may want to talk to a Nutrisystem counselor, and they can let you know for sure. The biggest issue would probably be the calorie count of your shake vs. the Turbo shakes, but if you have that info ready for them they should be able to let you know for sure! Best of luck with your two weeks.

The desserts and snacks were delicious. The dinners are done very nicely with foods that are very tasteful and full of flavor. The breakfasts were good (I especially liked the pancakes). I started great losing 15 pounds in 6 weeks then the last two of the second month, nothing. I was a little mad but I ordered month 3 determined to pick it up. My target was 30 pounds in 4 months so I started worrying and all, contacting support every day and they were really trying for me but it was like I hit a wall and couldn’t figure it out. Well, a friend I confided in asked if I’d heard of the blood group diet, which I hadn’t. My group is O+ and she lent me her book as she was the same blood type as me. It was a revelation I can tell you. Sure I was staying under my calorie ceiling each day, but I was eating the wrong kinds of food for my blood type. That was affecting my metabolism which had slowed right down. So I wasn’t burning the calories I was eating and not losing any weight! I changed some of the NS meals for my next order and made sure I only ate the extra portions of foods that were right for my blood type. The first week of month 4 I lost just 1 pound but then week 2 I lost 3 pounds and the same for week 3 and 4. My advice Mary is check out this diet. There’s a separate book for each major blood type and you can make it work with Nutrisystem as long as you customize your meals to avoid the foods the book says to avoid. Good luck!
